A woman from Georgia shot into two cars on a highway in Florida after claiming God told her to during the eclipse.

The recent solar eclipse that took place on April 8th led to quite a bit of superstition and speculation from people across the globe. One such individual was a woman from Georgia who claimed the eclipse told her to embark on a rampant killing spree across Florida.
The 22-year-old woman by the name of Taylon Nichelle Celestine reportedly traveled down to Florida and checked into a hotel near Bonifay, Florida, less than 100 miles west of Tallahassee. Here, Celestine reportedly told staff that she was directed by God to commit the shooting.
After leaving the hotel, Celestine entered I-10 westbound near mile marker 112 driving a purple Dodge Challenger. After about 5 miles of this, she shot into the first vehicle. While the driver was grazed in the arm by the bullet and injured by broken glass, Highway Patrol reported that he was able to successfully pull off onto the highway’s shoulder.
Near mile marker 107, Celestine shot again, this time hitting a driver in the neck. The victim is currently hospitalized yet their condition has not yet been released. At this point, law enforcement was aware of the active shooter on the highway. Highway patrol conducted a felony traffic stop, where they recovered a 9-mm handgun and an AR-15 from her car.
Celestine is currently charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, and improper discharge of a firearm. She is currently held at Holmes County Jail awaiting trial.
