Watching NFL games is the root of all stress. Every fumble, incomplete pass, and penalty pitches another dollar towards my savings for therapy. At the end of it all, it’s ultimately still the perfect way to spend a Sunday. However, there are only a handful of teams worthy to talk about. Here are the top ten NFL teams, according to an expert.. me.

1. Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are the absolute best because they look like they should be winning every game ever even if they somehow make the easiest plays look stressful. They have the best quarterback/kicker duo and are just perfection. They always manage to make every game a heart attack, even if they’re playing someone who’s 0–10. Watching them is like watching a genius forget their own name under pressure.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are a close contender to first because they happen to have some of the best fans ever. Everyone usually walks around the stadium eating and chanting. The fans are a big part of the team, making some of the funniest highlights from the game. Even though they are high on my list, I still hope they lose every game just to see how the fans react because they will still act like they won regardless, which is both terrifying and impressive. I swear Pittsburgh runs on fries, yelling, and pure stubbornness.

3. Los Angeles Rams
The Rams always look like they’re in a football commercial, and honestly, they play like it too. They’re flashy, dramatic, and wildly entertaining, which automatically makes them one of my favorites. Although I don’t pay much attention to this team, being so busy keeping up with the chargers, they definitely don’t let me down when I give them a chance. Half of their highlights look scripted, and I’m convinced their uniforms get more attention than their playbook. Somehow, they make football look like Hollywood with helmets.

4. New York Giants
The Giants are that one team that I keep hoping will get it together, kind of like that one friend who swears this year is their year. You know who I’m talking about. They’re unpredictable, but in a fun way that keeps them in my peripheral. The thing is, they’ll pull off a crazy upset one week, then forget how to play football the next. It’s honestly like watching a soap opera with helmets and penalties.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Here come the Bucs. Sometimes they look unstoppable, replicating a brick wall and other times they look like they forgot the playbook at home. Either way, they’re fun to watch, and I can’t really hate a team that likes pirate ships. Half their motivation probably comes from pretending they’re in Pirates of the Caribbean. And honestly, if they ever shot confetti instead of cannons, I wouldn’t be mad.

6. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles always play like they’re offended when the game even starts, and I respect their energy. Their fans are so intense and actually probably helped them win a superbowl. However, after the superbowl, they honestly just thought too much of themselves. They’d boo Santa again if it meant winning another ring. You can’t tell an Eagles fan anything, they’ll fight you and then high-five about it.

7. Buffalo Bills
The Bills are that team that gets your hopes sky-high and then drops them like they slipped on ice every single year. They just play with so much energy that I can’t help rooting for them. Even though I know I’m signing up for emotional damage, their fans literally jump through tables for fun, which explains a lot about the team itself. Supporting the Bills should be a free ticket to go to therapy.

8. Green Bay Packers
The Packers act like they’re still the legendary team everyone should fear, but half the time they look like they forget what sport they’re playing. Their fans keep pretending everything is fine, but honestly, the team gives off “I didn’t study for the test but I’m hoping for a miracle” energy. Cheeseheads everywhere keep the faith like it’s a religion. The Packers could be 0–16 and their fans would still say “this is our year.”

9. Detroit Lions
The Lions have improved, sure, but let’s be honest, their entire personality is “we finally won a few games, please clap.” Every time they start looking good, I’m just waiting for the meltdown, because past games have taught me not to trust them. But hey, at least they’re not embarrassing anymore.Their fans treat winning a playoff game like discovering fire.

10. New England Patriots
The Patriots are last on my list because watching them now feels like watching a once-famous pop star trying to make a comeback nobody asked for. Every game looks like they’re being punished for dominating the league for so long, and honestly, I’m not even sorry they had their time, and I’m enjoying the collapse. It’s like karma in shoulder pads. The dynasty didn’t just end, it fell, and hasn’t gotten back up since.
Now that you have good inspiration for which team to root for.. ahem, the chargers, turn on that tv, crack a cold can of coca-cola, and get ready to yell at your screen.
