On August 30th, our MIA Lady Rays supported our football team at home, against Jordan Christian Prep! Our Rays came home with a season opener win of 13-8!
Our Rays wouldn’t have been able to succeed without the help of our amazing cheerleaders supporting them on the sidelines. Our cheerleaders stayed constantly active on the sidelines, keeping the energy loud and energetic.
To kick off the halftime show, our Lady Rays performed an entertaining dance and stunt routine. The audience was ecstatic and the routine helped the crowd get ready for the second half. There were no errors through the routine, and head coach Sonja Gutwerk had nothing but kind remarks on the night.
“I was really excited for the team to put all the things they learned in practice into a game experience. While there is always room for improvement, they did an amazing job keeping the crowd excited. I was also really proud of their halftime performance. They really pulled together and you could see how hard they worked in preseason.”- Sonja Gutwerk, Head Coach.
This Friday, our Lady Rays will be supporting on the sidelines at Winterberry Park again for our second game of the year. Hopes for the game is another spectacular win.
