On August 30th, the Marco Island Academy Cheerleaders supported the Boy’s Varsity Football team at home, against Jordan Christian Prep! The Rays pulled out a win to celebrate the season opener!

The final score of the game was 13-8. Throughout the entire game the Lady Ray Cheerleader’s were hyping up the crowd and cheering on the team from the sidelines. During the game the cheerleaders were throwing up stunts, and shouting chants, ensuring the game atmosphere stayed energetic.

The hardwork and dedication of practicing multiple times a week has paid off. All of the stunts put up on the sidelines stayed up and got the crowd excited.

To kick off the halftime show, the Lady Rays performed an entertaining dance and stunt routine. The audience was ecstatic and the routine helped the crowd get ready for the second half. There were no errors through the routine, and head coach Sonja Gutwerk had nothing but kind remarks on the night.

This Friday, our Lady Rays will be supporting on the sidelines at Winterberry Park again for our second game of the year. Hopes for the game is another spectacular win.
