Marco Island Academy’s soccer team played another great game last night.

On Thursday, January 4th, 2024, the MIA boy’s soccer team played a home game against the Kings of Southwest Florida Christian Academy that ended in a 2-2 tie. The boys played a hard game and worked together to put forth their best effort on the field.

The boys started the game down by one goal but were able to recover quickly by putting two goals on the scoreboard. The first goal for our boys began with a swift assist made by senior Nick Gionet and was scored by senior Chase Polley. The second goal was made off of a throw-in and tapped in by senior Chase Polley.

Although the game didn’t end in a win for the MIA boy’s soccer team, the team worked tirelessly and aggressively to put up a good effort against the Kings to end in a tie. The team is looking forward to their Senior Night game, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 8th.
