Marco Island Academy’s volleyball team played another great game last night.

The Lady Rays faced Saint John Neumann Catholic High School at their home gym for the quarter-finals of regionals. They dominated the court, ending with a 3-1 tally, resulting in a score of 24-26, 25-16, 25-19, 25-9.

Leading the Lady Rays to a victorious win were senior Jenna Ragan with three aces, 13 digs, and nine kills, freshman Sophie Ogdin with 11 digs, and sophomore Jayden Ragan with an ace, eight digs, and three kills. Additionally, sophomore Madison Stolinas contributed with three aces, 15 digs, and a kill, while sophomore Medney Garraux had three aces, 14 digs, and 23 kills. Sidney Legros also had a pair of kills. Finishing strong was sophomore Rylee Howard with an ace, four digs, and 13 digs.

The Lady Rays advance to the semi-finals of regionals, and their opponent is yet to be determined. They will continue to fight, and we should cheer on our Lady Rays as they make their way into the semi-finals.

 Go Rays!
