Marco Island Academy’s volleyball team played another great game last night.

Yesterday, the Lady Rays played against the FBA Lions at their den. The girls put up a tremendous fight against the Lions; however, it unfortunately ended in a close defeat. The final scores were 0-3, with the first set ending 24-26, the second set 20-25, and the last set 23-25.

Leading the Lady Rays in the game was Medney Garraux with 11 digs, four aces, and 14 kills. Jenna Ragan contributed with 10 digs and six kills, while Sophie Ogdin had 10 digs and a pair of aces. Close behind, Jayden Ragan recorded five digs, three kills, and an ace, Madison Stolinas had five digs, and Sidney Legros contributed with two digs. Finishing strong was Rylee Howard with four kills and three digs.

The Rays are determined to redeem themselves next Tuesday, September 26th, when they face Donahue Catholic School.
