During a match at the Wildcat Invitational this past weekend, junior Medney Garraux reached an outstanding achievement of 1,000 kills over her high school tenure.
Since her freshman year, Garraux has been extremely dominant on the court and has been a notable threat in the “kill” game. Garraux has lead our girls to a current 12 win season with notable wins against Bonita Springs, Naples, and Bishop Verot.
Garraux is number 1 in Florida and number 29 in the country for kills this year. Garraux is also having a career year with 406 kills so far. Her dominance on the court is an achievement that MIA has never seen before. The last to reach this honor was 2022 alumni Camryn Rose in her senior year.
We are so proud of Medney and all of her accomplishments on and off the court, and can’t wait for her to rack up even more kills in the remainder of the season!
Go Rays!
