At the Hoco assembly spoke the Theatre Geek

Chris Dayett had found a show that wouldn’t be bleak

October day 20 he shared the musical

He revealed to the school it would be Seussical!

From Who-hearing Horton to the Cat in the Hat,

All packed up in the bleachers the students were sat.

They had cheered and they laughed at what he had revealed,

It was clear that they wished it to not be repealed.

The eagerness grew and the room was filled with joy

Some students’ eyes glew like they had gotten a toy.

A great blast from the past for all should be ensured

The wait til’ the date can not ever be endured.

With the present and past and future excitement

Everyone clearly understood the assignment.

Well of course you just might see some green eggs and ham

The show will be sure to have a BANG! and a BAM!

A rhyme in every song and nostalgia galore

Anapestic tetrameter opens the door

To a world made by Seuss, filled with his creations

Having love and good stories for all the nations!

The show is for all to watch and maybe then join

You can get the tickets even if light on coin.

So why ever you come, what may be the reason

Sit back and enjoy for it is a great season

Coming in January auditions will be

So come and then sing and the casting we will see.

Now come one and come all to examine the show

Know the ‘youer’ you are, the higher you will go.

So come and audition and join in all the fun,

So around the stage, you can jump up and then run.

It may be nice or at least therapeutical,

But if you don’t join, still come and see Seussical!
