Good morning Marco Island Academy, it is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2023, and these are your morning announcements!   

General Announcements: 

College and Career Night: Tonight, the College and Career Night is being held at Golden Gate High School from 5:30-7:30pm.  Check out your “Class of” Google Classroom to see the colleges that will be attending and for additional information.

Yearbook: Reminder:  FRESHMAN  yearbook portraits are tomorrow, Tuesday September, 19.  All 9th graders need to be ready for their pictures tomorrow.  Make sure to not wear light blue.

Job Opportunity: Cocomo’s Grill is hiring.  They are in need of two hostesses and a food runner. Please apply in person if you are interested. 

Activities: 

Thespians Fundraiser: Pizza, pasta, wings, gyros, sushi, and so much more! Today, September 18th, grab takeout or dine in from 4-10 p.m. at the only Sami’s Pizza and Grill on Marco Island.  Tell them you are from MIA, and 10% of the sales go back to our MIA Thespians to help send them to Districts.

SGA: Let’s get ready to ruuuuuuummmmmmmmmble!!! It is Powerpuff time! The duel between pink and blue is back and will be played on October 18th.  Ladies interested in playing and gentlemen interested in cheering them on, please join us for an interest meeting THIS Thursday, September 21st, after school in Mrs. Walther’s Room, room 137. 

Athletics: 

Cheer : Girls cheer team and senior banner pictures are today after school in the gym at 3:45 

Football: Our first football home game is this Friday against the Eagles of Warner Christian High School at 7:00pm. Can’t wait to see you there. 

Soccer: There is a girls soccer interest meeting tomorrow – Tuesday, September 19th after school in Senors room. Go Rays!
