General Announcements:
Wynne’s Warriors:. Key Club officers will be around today during mentoring to sell support bracelets for $1.00 today. Don’t forget your purple TOMORROW for the schoolwide purple out for Kleefstra Syndrome!
Yearbook: Today is the last day for Junior portraits. Tomorrow on Friday we will be taking retakes for students who have been absent for the past couple days.
Activities:
SGA – Powderpuff: We are almost ready to ruuuuuuuuuuuumble! Anyone interested in playing in the Powderpuff game needs to have turned in their consent forms, paid their dues, and have a physical on file by TOMORROW. All forms should be turned into Mrs. Ray. If you ain’t got no physical, you ain’t got no game!!!!!!
SGA – Homecoming: Spend a night in Greece!! Get your tickets starting MONDAY, October 2nd for the MIA Homecoming Dance. Ticket sales start at $80 and then go up to $100 the week of homecoming, so make sure you get them as soon as possible. They will be sold during A and B lunches. Homecoming is October 21st, so save the date to dance your way through the night and be a dancing queen!! Reminder: Guest forms are at the front desk. Ask Mrs. Kraft for one if needed.
SGA – Spirit Week: Spirit week starts October 17th!!! Get ready to dress up to show off your school spirit, creativity, and excitement for the MIA Homecoming Dance.
Activities:
Bonjour, Bonjour! If you are still hoping to see the Eiffel Tower, climb to the top of the Swiss Alps, visit Bavarian villages and castles, tour a Holocaust Concentration Camp, see Eagles Nest where Hitler and Mussolini planned WWII, and attend a Eurocup Soccer game in Munich, then you had better hurry up and register for the History and Culture Club trip for 2024. There are only FIVE spots left. The trip is now open for all current students to register. Enrollment will close soon though and we will go to a waitlist. See Mrs. G or Senor for more information before you miss out. Merci Rays!
Athletics:
Volleyball: Last night, our Lady Rays easily chomped up the Gators of Everglades in 3 sets. Tonight, they travel to Palmetto Ridge to beat the Bears on their court.
Baseball: On Wednesday, October 4th, there will be an after school interest meeting for the boys’ MIA Baseball team.
Lacrosse: There will also be an interest meeting for boys lacrosse on October 4th at 6:00pm. Can’t wait to see you there! Go Rays!
