Good morning Marco Island Academy, today is Friday, SEPTEMBER 22, 2023, and these are your morning announcements!   

General Announcements: 

Yearbook:  Remember that Junior portraits start next Wednesday; try your best not to wear gray or white. Please come when you’re supposed to.   

Fall Bake Sale: It’s DAY 2 of the annual Fall Bake sale, which means it’s BOGO time!!! Support MIA’s Interact Club by purchasing sweet, sugary, warm fall treats from our club members. 

Job Opportunity: Cocomo’s Grill is hiring. They are in need of two hostesses and a food runner. Please apply in person if you are interested.

Activities: 

Good News Club: The Good News Group is holding an interest meeting on Tuesday, September 26th! Join us in Mr. Higuera’s room right after school to spend time in the Word!

SGA: It’s FALL Y’All! SGA will be hosting our first Waffle Wednesday of the year! Be sure to bring some cash to enjoy delicious fall themed waffles and toppings at the Manta Ray Cafe before mentoring.  As always, one waffle – one buck.

Athletics: 

Football: Our first football home game is…. TONIGHT against the Eagles of Warner Christian High School at 7:00pm. 

Let’s rock some Manta Ray spirit by Hawaii-ing out the competition. That’s right Rays, rock your festive shirts and Hawaiian leis tonight at Winterberry park!  Can’t wait to see you there.

Cross Country: Good luck to the cross country team in their meet this Saturday at Northport Academy! Lets get those puppies hoppin!

Soccer:. There is a boys soccer interest meeting next Tuesday, September 26th. Go Rays!
