Good morning Marco Island Academy, it is Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 20, 2023, and these are your morning announcements!   

General Announcements: 

Yearbook:  Sophomore pictures begin today. They will be held on the stage inside the gymnasium. Attention teachers, this schedule -re-shared by Mrs. Koch this morning- is a little different, arranged in alphabetical order.  

Please pull it up and release the appropriate students at their correct times. Sophomores, make sure to smile!!  

Fall Bake Sale:  Starting tomorrow the annual Fall Bake sale is going to be held during A and B lunches. Support the MIA Interact Club with purchasing sweet, sugary, warm fall treats from our club members tomorrow. 

Job Opportunity: Cocomo’s Grill is hiring. They are in need of two hostesses and a food runner. Please apply in person if you are interested. 

Activities: 

SGA: Let’s get ready to ruuuuuuummmmmmmmmble!!! It is Powderpuff time! The duel between pink and blue is back and will be played on October 18th. Ladies interested in playing and gentlemen interested in cheering them on, please join us for an interest meeting tomorrow, Thursday, September 21st, after school in Mrs. Walther’s Room, room 137. 

Athletics: 

Volleyball: Tonight our lady rays play the Village School Knights right here at MIA. It’s game day, so don’t forget to rock out those jerseys! Let’s joust those knights.

Football: Our first football home game is this Friday against the Eagles of Warner Christian High School at 7:00pm. 

Let’s rock some Manta Ray spirit by WHITING OUT the competition. That’s right Rays, rock your white spirit wear on Friday night! Can’t wait to see you there.

Soccer:. There is a boys soccer interest meeting next Tuesday, September 26th. Go Rays!
