Good morning Marco Island Academy, it is TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2022, HOMECOMING WEEK continues, and these are your morning announcements!

General Announcements

College Visits:  College reps will be visiting MIA to discuss their schools and answer any questions. These opportunities are open to all grade levels.  

Florida Polytechnic – Sept 21st – Today is the last day to sign-up for this visit.

FGCU – Sept 30th

Sign-ups are posted in Google classrooms.  You must sign-up in advance to attend.

Athletics:  All athletes, if you want to attend homecoming, your athletic fees must be paid. 

Volleyball: Tonight, come cheer on our JV volleyball team at 6:00pm as they take on FBA.

Also, one of our very own, Medney,  is nominated for player of the week.  Keep the votes coming.  We might be tiny, but let’s show that we are mighty.  Vote often!  Go Rays!

Activities: The Wave: There is an interest meeting for The Wave, TODAY right after school in Mr. Scalia’s, room 233! All who are interested should attend!

NHS: Hello NHS members!  We will have our first meeting after school today in Mr. Wolfe’s room from 3:30-4 PM! See you after school!! 

SGA: 

Homecoming Ticket Sales: Tickets are still available today and tomorrow. They are now $100. 

Spirit Week: We love seeing all the grill masters and minivan mamas on campus today!  Plan to get cozy tomorrow in your onesies and/or pajamas. We DON’T love seeing all the freshman that are not participating today. Do better.

Homecoming Court Nominations: Nominations are open, so please go to your class’s Google Classroom and click the link.  Nominations are open today until 4:oopm. 

Homecoming Dance: The Marco Island Hilton has so kindly allowed all homecoming attendants to park FOR FREE! They have asked for everyone to carpool as they have construction in the parking lot.
