Good morning Marco Island Academy, it is MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2022, the start of HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK, and these are your morning announcements!

General Announcements

College Visits:  Several colleges will be coming to MIA to discuss their schools and answer any questions. These opportunities are open to all grade levels.  

The students for today’s Ringling College visit will be called at 10:20 to Room 235.

–Teachers, please check your email from Miss Scott for a list of students.

Florida Polytechnic – Sept 21st – Tomorrow is the last day to sign-up for this visit.

FGCU – Sept 30th

Sign-ups are posted in Google classrooms.  You must sign-up in advance to attend.

Athletics:  All athletes, if you want to attend homecoming, your athletic fees must be paid. 

Football:  Tonight, yes, Monday night, let’s cheer on our Football team as they head to Cape Coral and battle the sharks at Oasis Charter.  Go Rays!

Activities: 

The Wave: There will be an interest meeting for The Wave, tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20, right after school in Mr. Scalia’s, room 233! All who are interested should attend!

SGA: 

Homecoming Ticket Sales: Tickets are still available today, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The price is now $100. 

Spirit Week: SGA is enjoying seeing all the Adam Sandlers on campus today! Tomorrow is BBQ Dad vs Soccer mom. 

Homecoming Court Nominations: All classes are now able to nominate their class choices for Homecoming Court. Please go to your class’s Google Classroom and click the link.  Nominations are open today and tomorrow (MONDAY AND TUESDAY).  They will close Tuesday at 4:oopm.
