Track Season has Successful Kick-Off

On Monday February 10th, the 2020 track season kicked off with a meet at Saint John Neumann. MIA had a strong showing with Camden Jones and Damien Tschida placing 3rd and 4th in their heat of the 800m. Devon Wheeler came out strong in his first high school race with an impressive 400m time of 1:12. Suzie Linn placed 1st in her heat of the 400m with a time of 1:06, and placed 6th overall, while Damien Tschida placed 3rd in his heat. 

 

The girls 4x100m, consisting of Charlize Noyes, Morgan Pohutsky, Caitlyn Sadofsky, and Wendy Saynes, put up a time of 1:04 and placed 9th overall. Reef Weber placed 2nd in his 100m heat, while Suzie Linn placed 2nd in her heat and 12th overall. 

 

In the 3200m, Yessenia Martinez, Brenna White, and Luis Jauregui all placed top 15 in their respective age groups. Wendy Saynes placed 7th out of all girls and Camden Jones placed 2nd overall. 

 

MIA had a very good first meet of the season and looked to continuously  improve throughout the season with their next meet at Palmetto Ridge High School.
