On November 10, 2023, Måneskin released RUSH! (ARE U COMING?) as an addition to the base RUSH! album. Five new songs released on this version, each being very different, but still fitting the overall vibe of the album.
1. HONEY (ARE U COMING?):
The single released to tease the addition of the other songs, ‘HONEY (ARE U COMING?)’ provided a very upbeat and intense start to the album. This is now the first song on the album on Spotify, and on the physical copies that are released, such as vinyl and CD. The song does a great job continuing the high quality that the album already provided.
2. VALENTINE:
This song provides a very different sound than the one before it on the album. It is much slower, but it still provides a lot of the intense rock music style that is consistent with the rest of RUSH!. ‘VALENTINE’ has some great lyrics that talk about the singer losing someone that they had cared about and wanted to have a family with. A very sad and very intense song, but still one that holds up with everything else around it.
3. OFF MY FACE:
Back to the super high-intensity music that was provided in songs like ‘GASOLINE’ and ‘GOSSIP’, ‘OFF MY FACE’ is a very questionable song with lyrics about addiction and false love. While some very controversial topics are mentioned in the song, it is still a great song that is arguably better than most of the original songs.
4. THE DRIVER:
This song is slower than some of the others, but still pretty upbeat. The song is about doing whatever it takes to make a partner happy. Most of the lyrics are suggestive acts of desperation that show how much the singer is infatuated with the person they are singing about.
5. TRASTEVERE:
The one slow song on this addition, ‘TRASTEVERE’ gets its name from part of Rome, Italy, where the band is from. The lyrics talk about betrayal and paying for things with your life and heart, possibly alluding to the singer or one of the other band members regretting their path to fame. The song is great and fits in perfectly with ‘TIMEZONE’ and ‘IF NOT FOR YOU’.
