1. The Departed

This thriller features other big names like Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, and more. It follows Leonardo DiCaprio as he goes undercover in the mob in an attempt to bring down Jack Nicholson’s character, Frank Costello. While Matt Damon is a cop that has gone into the police force to be an informant for the mob. There are so many twists and turns in this movie. There is never a dull moment and to top it off, there’s a great cast that makes it a must watch. I would give this movie a 5/5.

2. Shutter Island

Leonardo DiCaprio stars with Mark Ruffalo in this crime thriller that follows the story of two detectives as they investigate what is happening on an insane asylum in the middle of nowhere. The detectives are investigating the death of some patients. As they continue to search around this island things get weirder and weirder. This movie will shock you at every turn and leave you with goosebumps throughout. I would rate this movie a 4.5/5.

3. Inception

This mind blowing film by Christopher Nolan follows Damon Cobb, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, who has a rare ability to enter his victims dreams to steal information that he needs. When given a chance for redemption, he is transported into the dream world to put information in rather than take it out. But as he tries to seal the deal, everything goes south. I would give this movie a 4.5/5.

4. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

This movie follows Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) who lead very similar lives as movie stars, well at least Rick does as Cliff is his stunt double. It follows Rick as he struggles to get work in Hollywood and the interesting lives both men lead. This movie has everything- from action, to a loaded cast, and even the Manson family, America’s most notorious cult. The movie can get dull at times due to the slow moving plot but when it gets going, it gets going. So I would give it a 4/5.

5. The Wolf of Wall Street

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Jordan Belfort in his biopic as it reveals the story of Jordan’s life and how he came about his wealth through the stock market. From the story line, to the entertainment all throughout the plot, the movie has very few weak spots. Other stars like Margot Robbie, Jonah Hill, and Matthew McConaughey join DiCaprio in this exciting film. This movie is exciting from the second it begins and never differs till the end. I would give it a 4/5.
