Lady Rays and SJN Play to a Nil-Nil Draw
The Lady Rays put up a great fight for 0-0 tie. “It was hard fought, as the other team had a defense designed for our offense” said senior Olivia Watt. The defense was strong and only let five shots off the whole game. “I thought our keeper did a great job in the net, not only her amazing saves but being verbal and redirecting the ball” said freshman forward Hailey Cartwright. The team did a good job of holding them off and had some really close shots on net that were lucky saves on SJN’s part. “Our center defenders Jenna Palumbo (#8) and Elizabeth Schulthies (#27) did an exceptional job with redirecting the ball and stopping the plays down the middle” added freshman goalkeeper Kirra Polley (#16).
The team is determined to win the next time they play them on their home turf.
