Senior Spotlight: Giray Uzen
The Marco Island Academy Football team has been blessed to have such a successful season this year. Senior, Giray Uzen was a blessing on their team this year. Giray has played football at the school for 3 years and has consistently played lacrosse as an outside sport. In football, on offense, he played left tackle while on defense, he played defensive end.
When asked why he decided to play football, he said, “I chose to play football because of the brotherhood.” When asked about what he does during his free time, Giray states that “outside of school I like working on my car, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends”. Giray went on to talk about his teachers and admin saying, “all the teachers and administrators have left an impact on me, especially Ms. Scott and Mr. Ray”.
He states that his favorite class at school is Gov and Econ because he knows he’s going to need it in the career he wants to pursue. He wants to pursue being a lawyer which is why he said, “When I go to college I want to study pre-law so I can become a lawyer”.
