Spanish National Honors Society
At Marco Island Academy, there is a club called the Spanish National Honor Society, also known as SHH. It is an honor society for students in Spanish classes, the club focuses on the Spanish language and culture. The club is sponsored by two teachers, Senora Mariah Walther and Senor Fernando Higuera. The club encourages students to keep their passion for the Spanish Language and improve their knowledge of Spanish culture. By joining this club, it will increase your chances for jobs, sharpen your mind, and could help you travel in a Spanish-speaking area. Spanish is one of the most spoken languages in the U.S, and this club will allow you to better speak the language and understand Spanish speakers. Being able to speak Spanish is great for your resume, if you are bilingual you are more competitive in the workplace. Meetings are mostly held in room 304, check it out if it interests you. If you are interested, meet one of the teachers listed above and ask to join.
