Every year, after reading The Great Gatsby, Mr. Scalia’s English 3 classes present the Interdisciplinary Project. Students split themselves into small groups, or work by themselves, and choose a project that they would like to complete. Some of the projects involved presenting and creating a piece of art based on the Harlem Renaissance, cooking and serving a meal that would be served at one of Gatsby’s parties, and dressing up and presenting about women’s fashion throughout the decades.
