1. Mackle Park
Frank E. Mackle Community Park is located at 1361 Andalusia Terrace road on Marco Island. This park was named after Marco’s visionaries, the Mackle Brothers– Robert, Elliott, and Frank Jr. in 1987.
This park includes two large playgrounds available to all, Canine Cove Dog Park, a soccer field, and a sizable lake with a sidewalk that’s perfect for walking.
2. Otter Mound Preserve
Otter Mound located at 1831 Addison Ct in Marco Island, is a nature trail with a history. In the 1940s a settler named Ernest Otter moved onto the shell mound and later on in 2004 the preserve was created.
The trail sits on a 2.45-acre property and includes a small parking lot with a few seating options available to all. Otter Mound is an excellent trail for walking and offers a great view, as the trail is covered in tall trees and other beautiful scenery.
3. Marco Island Public Beach Access
South Beach Public Parking is located at 930 Swallow Ave on Marco Island. The Beach Access itself is located right across the street at 870 County Rd 951. This beach is open 24 hours a day and is open to all.
South Beach provides a great and lengthy place to walk with a gorgeous view as well.
4. Veterans Community Park
Marco’s Veterans Community Park is located at 901 Park Ave. This park was created in order to provide a public space for events and other gatherings. This park includes multiple seating options and a place for walking.
5. Winterberry Park
Winterberry Park is located at 1400 Winterberry Dr. on Marco Island. Winterberry includes an open field available for baseball/softball, and soccer/football. Winterberry also has multiple parking spaces and seating options. This park is open to all and is a great place for walking.
