Senior Spotlight: Kyler Howard
Senior Kyler Howard has been treating life like the Olympics since he was young, he started playing basketball at just 10 years old. He played little league basketball and then went on to 3 years of travel basketball. After this, his young basketball career came to an end and it was time for him to start focusing on his high school career. As Kyler reflects back his most memorable moment was playing for the state championship in AAU basketball in 8th grade.
As of 2/4/21, Kyler Howard has made 158 points alone in his senior year. One of Kyler’s favorite memories from high school basketball was when he assisted teammate Tony Castillo to make a three-pointer then ran back celebrating only to trip on an opponent’s foot.
Alongside basketball, Kyler had managed to be a part of football and volunteer work. He favored football over basketball because he loved the determination his teammates had on the field even when times were rough for them.
Kyler doesn’t plan on playing basketball in college but he does plan on pursuing communications and becoming a sports analyst. He plans to achieve this through forming connections early on and becoming an intern or a sports analyst company.
