It’s the Most Wonderful Door of the Year

Last week at Marco Island Academy, mentoring classes were prompted to “Deck the Halls With Five Days of Holly Jolly.” Working together, students were tasked with decorating the interior of their classroom door with holiday decorations. The rubric specifically called for doors to be decorated uniquely to MIA, and creativity and neatness were a key portion of the grading scale. As is evident with the completed door designs, many mentoring groups displayed their ultimate dedication and competition through their decorations.

On Friday, the administration visited each room participating in the contest and selected two honorable mentions and two winners. Ms. Burdick and Mrs. Cobos’s doors were picked as honorable mentions, and Mrs. Galiana and Mr. Dayett’s doors were chosen as the first place winners. It is certainly the most wonderful time of the year at Marco Island Academy.
