Golf here at MIA has been positively growing since last year, ever since Kaden Latreille joined the team. Kaden is a key part to the MIA golf team positioned at 1 seed. Many new students joined the golf team this year as the team lost many of the senior players. These new students are freshmen that really impact the team and will impact the team for the new four years.

The team has practice regularly Monday through Thursday starting at 4 o’clock and ending when you get through enough holes. Monday and Wednesday practices are held at Eagle Lakes golf course. Tuesday and Thursday practices are held at Rookery at Marco in Fiddlers Creek.

The starting roster consists of 5-6 players.

3 seed – Cameron Dechaine (fr)

4 seed  – Louis Capella (fr)

5 seed – Jordan Rodden (sn)

6 seed – Nathan Olsen (sn)

Golf Districts was held on October 28th with the 1 through 5 seed playing. Kaden Latreille performed outstandingly, winning the overall tournament. With a score of 63, 9 under PAR, Kaden was the lead ahead of the second scorer who was 3 under PAR. MIA together as a team placed 5th in the tournament out of 13 teams.
