Attention all Rays interested in Performing Arts! Our very own Performing Arts Director, Mr. Dayett, is hosting auditions for his original musical, “Torch: A Musical Tale”.
This entertaining performance will hit the stage in April 2025 in the Marco Island Academy gymnasium. There are a dozen different roles to audition for, all with varying requirements.
This musical is open for all MIA students, teachers, and staff with any kind of experience. For example if you are interested in acting, but not too excited about singing, there are still opportunities for you! Even students who are not comfortable in front of a crowd, can still participate through making sets and helping Mr. Dayett behind the scenes.
For a little background on “Torch: A Musical Tale” feel free to check out our other stories about this brand new musical. This story follows a young man who tells the adventurous journey of Torch.
This musical is especially cherished because it was created completely by MIA’s beloved Visual Arts Director, Mr. Dayett. When creating this musical from scratch, he had several sleepless nights but nevertheless he powered through to create something entertaining and beautiful.
