Torch is a musical play created and directed by MIA’s theater teacher, Mr. Dayett. His creative skills and direct ability brought him to piece together this play. Frozen, the 2013 film, gave inspiration to Mr. Dayett when writing this play. This film is based on the Viking era, with the main character being a man. Many details are still yet to be discovered because this is an original play never seen before.

Many are excited about this one-of-a-kind original and can’t wait to be able to watch it. The play can be seen as motivational, with the idea being that fate is what you make of it, and sometimes it’s supposed to be changed. There are 14 different characters, all with unique personalities that Mr. Dayett made to fit into this musical tale.

Students are excited to gather together and experience the first showing of this original musical. The play comes out in April 2025; stay ready. We hope to see you there!
