It’s that time of the week! Here is a short recap from the first week of college ball!
Texas vs. Alabama: The Longhorn vs Crimson Tide
This game that had more drama than a TV show, Texas was set with a big challenge taking on Alabama. Texas was clearly ready for this game, and managed to pull off a win against the Crimson Tide! Texas QB Quinn Ewers looked like he had been training all summer and made Bama’s defense look like they were stuck in the marsh. Final score: 34-24. “Roll Tears Roll”.
Michigan vs. Ohio State: Mr Harbaugh Reins Victory
Michigan plays Ohio State in what is usually a must watch game for Buckeye fans. Jim Harbaugh seemed like he wrote his game plan the night before, but thankfully it ended up working. Michigan’s defense didn’t let Ohio State score, and their offense took it personally. Michigan ended the night with a 27-10 win, the Wolverines went home victorious!
USC vs Utah State: Utah Never Stood a Chance
USC crushed Utah State from the first quarter, leaving no room for doubt they were gonna loose 56-7 victory. The Trojans offense was on their A game, with quarterback Miller Moss throwing multiple touchdowns, while their defense shut down Utah State’s. By halftime, the game was over, Utah State struggled to keep up with USC, and USC reigned victorious.
Appalachian State vs. UNC: Tar Heels Take The Victory
UNC decided to play Appalachian State. In a game that had more plot twists than a reality show, App State did come in hot and lived up to everyone’s expectations (losing). They took UNC to overtime, but the Tar Heels beat them by a 40-34 win. Mack Brown aged about 25 years during this game.
