Volleyball Recap 9/27/23

Marco Island Academy’s volleyball team played another great game last night.

The Lady Rays Volleyball team played against Everglades last night. They easily chomped the Gators in three sets, the final scores tallying 25-9, 25-6, and 25-8.

Leading the Lady Rays was Medney Garraux with a pair of digs and 13 kills. Jenna Ragan participated with four aces, seven digs, and six kills, while Sophia Ogdin had a pair of aces and four digs. Following close behind were Karina Baldwin with a pair of aces and one dig, and Madison Stolinas with four aces, three digs, and six kills. Contributing was Jayden Ragan with one ace and Rylee Howard topped it off with four aces, two digs, and seven digs.

The Lady Rays go to Palmetto Ridge High School today, Thursday, September 28, 2023. They face the Bears at 7:00 and they are determined to win.

Medney Garraux is a sophomore at Marco Island Academy and Staff Writer of The Wave. She plays for the MIA volleyball team as it gives her an opportunity to show her leadership and teamwork skills on and off the court. In her free time she likes to hang out with friends and shop. After her time here at MIA she plans on attending college but is not sure where she wants to go.
