Senior Spotlight: Estefany Ceron-Garcia

Estefany Ceron-Garcia has been a key soccer player at Marco Island Academy. Originally from El Salvador, Estefany spends her summer and winter breaks in California. She has been playing soccer for 6 years.

High school soccer has been a big part of Estephany’s life. Her favorite memory of her time playing is scoring a header goal against the opposing Saint John Newman team. Her favorite team mate is her good friend Jillian Cartwright, who graduated from MIA last year. Estefany says the highlights from the season come from the car rides to and from games, where she gets to socialize with the other girls on the team and bond.

In the future, Estefany says that she most likely will not play soccer in college as she wants to focus on her studies instead. She wants to go to either Florida Atlantic University or Florida International University. Estefany plans on studying forensics to become a crime scene investigator.
