If you like survival, adventurous, sci-fi themed shows, this show would be great for you. The Walking Dead is based on a comic book, and it shows what life would be like during a zombie apocalypse. The show starts off with the main character Rick, a cop, waking up in a hospital after being shot months before. He finds out later that a zombie apocalypse had occurred while he was in a coma.

Episodes later, Rick learns that the zombies are violent and that he must kill to survive; that is when he goes on a search to find his family. After a long difficult journey, he found both his family and best friend with a group of other survivors

Throughout the seasons, the group of survivors grows and shrinks. They fight to survive from not only the zombies, but each other. The objective of the group was mainly to protect each other and find a safe place for survival. Many of the characters that were introduced were killed either by another survivor or got bitten and turned into a zombie.

There were 11 people in the group that were introduced to us. In this group, there were a lot of conflicts that they went through. At first, Rick’s wife, Lori, was having an affair with Shane, his best friend/partner. When she found out that Rick was alive and well, she went back with Rick and eventually confessed to him about her and Shane. Eventually supplies were running low and zombies slowly invaded their base which made them move to a whole different location to settle down.

In my opinion, this show was very addicting. If I could rate this show out of 5, I would give this show a 4.6/5. I really enjoyed the characters that were introduced and the overall plot. Each and one of them were different and had their own unique skills which made them very interesting. My least favorite character was Merle, he was a troublesome man, I was happy when he was handcuffed to a pole and was about to be eaten by zombies. Merle always caused problems by making noise and wasting bullets which attracted zombies.

The first season makes me anxious to see who would survive in the end. Many things go wrong, people make bad decisions leading to death and loss. The show has very intense and suspenseful scenes and has me on the edge of my seat. As soon as you believe the problems have ended, another arises; there is never a dull moment throughout the show.

I can’t wait for season 2. The anticipation of wondering who would live and who would not gets me on the edge of my seat.  The last episode of season 1 is when the whole group meets a doctor, and they all find out that they are infected. If they die in any way other than getting killed by a brain injury, they will turn into one of the walkers.
