The voice of the student.

Key Club

Marco Island Academy’s Key Club is a branch of the international Kiwanis organization that provides community service opportunities for the students of MIA. Leaders of the club include its advisor Mrs Galiana and the current president Taylor Drott, who organize multiple events per month that both assist locals in the community and help its 82 paid members reach their 100 service hour requirement for graduation.

Commonly hosted events include weekend beach cleanups at Tigertail and South Beach, as well as tutoring at the YMCA after school program. Some future events coming up in January include Texas Hold’em Night from 6-8pm at the Marco Lutheran Church on 1/27, and the morning Kiwanis 5k run on 1/28 starting at Tigertail beach, which as many members as possible are encouraged to attend.

The MIA Key Club works with the Kiwanis organization to provide community service opportunities for our students. Its advisor and president work to organize multiple events per month to assist locals in the community and help its 82 members get service hours.
