Art Club

Either metaphorically or just for fun, art has always been a popular form of media ever since the stone age. From paintings depicting hunts of mammoths to something from the diverse imaginations of individuals, art plays a role in our everyday lives. However, our school has never been notorious for art, which is where the art club comes into play.

The art club at Marco Island Academy is a place where people from all over the school can come together to showcase their artwork. Their goal is to give people the opportunity to show off their art, even if they aren’t in an art class. Led by their current president, sophomore Emily Risinger, and sponsored by Mr.Eder, the art club meets in room 237.

The club meets every single Tuesday from 7:45 am – 8:15 am where they do a themed competition every two weeks and play art-related games, like Gartic Phone, Pictionary, and more. Students are encouraged to join for the sake of sharing artwork and improving artistic skills as a group. The club doesn’t have many people in it at the moment so this is the perfect time to join, if you love drawing or anything about art, then join the art club. It is the perfect club to join if you want to be an active member of our school’s appreciation for art!
