Remember When: Beauty Products

Glitter Peel-Off Nail Polish

Remember when you would paint your nails with these and think that you are the coolest kid ever? When you’re a kid your mom typically doesn’t allow you to paint your nails. This was our ‘cheat code’ to having pretty nails while our moms stay happy.

Cell Phone Makeup Pallet

Remember when you would go over to your friend’s house and do each other’s makeup with your cell phones? This makeup look would typically consist of blue glitter eyeshadow, bright pink blush, and a nice hot pink lipstick to tie it all together. This was a hit in elementary school and all the girls would compare their cell phone makeup to other girls.

Lips SMACKER

Remember when you would come into school and there would always be that one girl who had the whole collection of lip smackers? The brand first premiered in 1967 when the founder Jess Bell who was an avid skier wanted a change from the medical balms that athletes used to cure their chapped lips. The first flavors to come out were Strawberry, Green Apple, and Orange Chocolate. Since then productions took off and more than 400 flavors were added.

Lip Glow Lip Gloss

Along with the lip smackers, these were another ‘makeup’ item that kids had a ton of laying around the house. You wouldn’t remember when you bought them or where they came from you would just find them around the house and use them. These came in a variety of fruity flavors and they left a slight tint on your lips whenever you used them.

The only goal we had back then was to sparkle like disco
