The MIA Academy of Rock

The MIA Academy of Rock is Marco Island Academy’s after-hours rock band dedicated to allowing students to fulfill their musical passions and showcase their talent in a tightly knit, accepting, and supportive environment. 

The Academy of Rock is directed by Mr. Totten, one of MIA’s two art teachers. Currently, the band is working hard at rehearsing a multitude of covers, planning to perform various shows at venues such as St Mark’s Church and school festivals, as well as various charity events. 

The band meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and welcomes anyone at any time. No matter the instrument or voice, Mr. Totten and the Academy of Rock work hard to ensure that every student has the opportunity to be a rock star.
