Good morning Marco Island Academy, it is TUESDAY, JANUARY 17, 2023, and these are your morning announcements!   

General Announcements:

Lunch: There is no lunch on the mezz today; there is no lunch on the mezz today.  

2023-2024 Re-Enrollment:  Attention 9th, 10th, and 11th graders, re-enrollment documents can be turned in beginning TODAY.  To secure your spot at MIA for next school year, you MUST turn in your re-enrollment packet by Tuesday, January 31. 

Waffle Wednesday: TOMORROW, SGA is bringing back Waffle Wednesday, so make sure you bring your dollars because waffles are only one buck!

Athletics:   

Tennis: Hello interested tennis players!!!  We will have a tennis interest meeting after school this Wednesday at 3:30 PM in Mr. Wolfe’s room. All levels are welcome! Hope to see you there.

Senior Winter Athletes: PLEASE pick up/turn in your senior night scripts for your senior nights to Mr. Miller ASAP.

Lacrosse: If you missed the interest meeting and are interested in playing this Spring, please see Mr. Miller ASAP.  

Baseball: Baseball tryouts will be Thursday, January 26th at 6pm at the TBE ball field.  Please be certain to have your physical AND  Athletics.  Packet. Athletics. Packet.  Turned into Mr. Miller ASAP.

Basketball: Good luck to our basketball teams as they head to Oasis High School to face off against the sharks.

Soccer: Good luck to our boys and girls tonight as they face the Paladins of Mason Classical at our home field. The boys play at 4 and the girls play at 6.

Activities:

Auditions for Superhero are next week. There are singing and non-singing roles available, and little to no dancing in this show. See the QR codes around campus or check your “Class Of” Google Classroom page for details on how you can get involved on stage or behind the scenes. Audition packets are now available. You can pick one up from Mr. Dayett, Mrs. Ray, or a Thespian.

Theatre:  Aaron Toy, who is currently playing Iago in the national tour of Disney’s Aladdin will be coming to campus next Thursday to lead a masterclass in musical theatre. All are invited to attend, participate, or to meet him and learn what it’s like to play such an iconic role in the Disney musical. More info will be posted soon.
